Community of the Year 2014 - NZ Council Victim Support

Victim Support helps those most in need, addressing the immediate needs of victims of crime and trauma. It also provides support and front line services to victims of serious crime and trauma (eg. homicide, suicide, sudden death, serious and grievous assaults, kidnapping, robbery); less serious crime (eg. vandalism, burglary). It also supports civil defence emergencies and search and rescue events, helping victims to regain control of their lives through support, advice and information.
